Why should I invest in working with a Registered Dietitian?
A registered dietitian is the nutrition expert. In addition to undergraduate and post-graduate work, dietitians have completed an accredited, extensive supervised 1200 hour practice program with direct patient contact and have passed a rigorous national registration examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Registered dietitians work in the treatment and prevention of disease, such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension, by providing medical nutrition therapy (MNT). Only dietitians are allowed to practice MNT for acute and chronic diseases.
Prior to our first session together, I will have reviewed all of your past medical and diet history so we can get started right away. We will discuss your top concerns and create a clear path that alleviates any worry. By the end of this session, we will have set realistic goals that work for a pace you are comfortable with.
